Amy Smitheringale to complete the Aspire Channel Swim 2016
September 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM
Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. As manager of the Complex Injury team at Spencers', I am involved in cases where people’s lives have been devastated by spinal injuries as a result of an accident.
Because of this I am taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2016 and have pledged to swim the distance of the Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire.
Aspire are a spinal injury charity who do amazing work by provides essential equipment, advice, housing and grants so that spinal cord injured people can live their lives independently.
This is a big challenge, but the more I raise, the more difference I will make, so please give generously!
