National recognition in industry wide awards that celebrate the most dynamic players in the legal services arena
The Modern Law Awards have announced their shortlisted nominees, and Spencers Solicitors are delighted to confirm that Chief Information Officer Martyn Gilbert has been shortlisted as a finalist in the category of Non lawyer of the year.
Now in their third year, the Modern Law Awards celebrate and identify outstanding talent and success in the modern legal services arena. Martyn has been recognised for his crucial role in driving growth and development within the firm, including his dedication to building legal processes and systems that have enabled the firm to revolutionise client experience.
In a difficult personal injury arena he has developed a unique business model that has allowed the firm to move away from introducer-fed clients, with 60% of work now generated directly from consumers. Through reorienting the practice and its systems to offer legal services directly to the public he has developed a strong online presence, with a 40% rise in website visitors who make an enquiry, and has nurtured a strong firm-wide understanding of a client's journey in selecting a legal service provider.
Commenting on the news of Martyn's shortlisting, Spencers Solicitors CEO Rob Landman said:
"The whole firm are thrilled that Martyn has been recognised by the Modern Law Awards. He is a vital part of Spencers Solicitors and has worked tirelessly over the past four years to transform how we approach our business.
His technical leadership and digital innovation has led the business to generate a diverse range of private client work that simply would not have been possible without him.
Martyn's unwavering passion for using technology to the benefit of both clients and our lawyers is a driving force to our excellent performance across all areas, and his care can be seen in every case we undertake."
The Modern Law Awards offer the industry an opportunity to celebrate both innovative business leaders and those changing the face of business strategy and development, regulation management and client care throughout their organisation.
The award ceremony is due to take place on Thursday 19th November at The Hurlingham Club, London, where the ceremony will be hosted by celebrated comedian Jimmy Carr. An evening of celebration for those shortlisted, award winners will be announced following a champagne reception and dinner.
