You may recall that in September I set myself a challenge to swim the distance of the English channel in 12 weeks. It was a hard slog but I managed to complete this in just 6 week over a total of 15.5 hours.

The final figures are now in and I am pleased to confirm that I raised a total of £569 (with gift aid £707) and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me.
The amount raised could buy SmartNav technology, allowing someone with high level spinal cord injury to use a computer without the use of their hands, and two sets of adjustable furniture raisers which ensure that beds and chairs are set at the correct level for someone with a spinal cord injury. Because of everyone who has taken part in the channel swim, Aspire are currently on track to raise over half a million pounds which will allow them to continue to do life changing work for people who have suffered serious injury.
