- Promote recovery of good mental health by signposting and obtaining professional support

- The main point of contact for anyone who is going through any mental health problem
- Identifying the early signs and symptoms of ill health
- Start supportive conversations with people experiencing problems with their mental health
- Listen non-judgementally and provide reassurance
- Assess the risk of self- harm and suicide
- Reduce the stigma attached to mental health
- Maintain confidentiality and provide and ongoing supportive working environment
